“It has been a very good test, and it was great to work with Ed Carpenter Racing for the first time,” says Linus Lundqvist. “It was full-on, with a lot of driving and many valuable miles under my belt. That’s especially important during a year like this when I’m not regularly competing. The speed was there right from the start, and the team has been able to test a wide range of things, so it feels good to have been able to contribute to that. Everyone is happy, and it has been a fantastic day.”
Thursday’s test was 24-year-old Lundqvist’s third in an INDYCAR car, and his first on a road course since his test debut with Andretti Autosport in the fall of 2021. The reigning Indy Lights champion also tested earlier this year for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing on the oval at Texas Motor Speedway.
